Why we built the app
We built Pet Foster App to help shelters and fosters find each other so more animals can heal, learn trust, and find homes faster. Our mission is to give every foster and shelter a simple, shared dashboard for daily care, tasks, and updates because when people can collaborate easily, pets get the consistent support they deserve. By streamlining communication and providing real-time insights, we help reduce missed steps and delays that too often cost vulnerable animals precious time. Every connection made, every update shared, and every task completed moves a pet one step closer to safety, recovery, and a forever home ultimately saving more lives.
How it started
Pet Foster App began after volunteering with local rescues and seeing the same challenges again and again scattered spreadsheets, lost emails, and delayed updates that slowed care and caused frustration. We partnered with coordinators, vet techs, and experienced fosters to design a tool shaped around real rescue workflows, bringing messaging, tasks, logs, and progress tracking into one simple place. Today, we are focused on practical features that reduce stress, strengthen communication, and make fostering feel supported, transparent, and doable for more families so that every pet has a better chance to heal, grow, and find a loving home.
